Amazed Every Day

Truly I am blown away by  how much Evangeline has grown and changed just this last month. It seems as though she comprehends almost everything I say to her. She can now point to me if I ask where "Where's Mommy?" and she points to herself if I ask "Where's Evangeline?" She says what a car says, what a lion says, what a bunny says, what a monkey says, and my favorite recent discovery is how to fake burp. She will mimic Jayme or I and even last night as I was struggling to get her to finish her bottle I told her "ok we'll take a burp break" and she immediately amidst the tears went "uhhhhhhhhhh" and faked her burp. It definitely makes me laugh.

She likes to flip the light switches off and on and usually turns them off when we leave a room. She also loves to turn the lights off and on using the remote for the light/fan in our bedroom. She likes to put the bottle cap back on her bottle and she's attempting puzzles. Definitely no problems with her fine motor skills. She says "Mama, up" (but the up is more of a whisper) when she wants to get out of her playpen or high chair.

She has 4 full teeth (2 upper, 2 lower) and one breaking through on the bottom right next to another.

She gives Hi-fives, kisses, and has just begun to give hugs. Even just in the last week or two she has become more snuggly than she has ever been. She has laid her head down on my shoulder more lately than ever in her life. It's such a great feeling to receive her gestures of love and affection.

She says "Hi" all the time. Last week we walked into her doctor's appointment and she raised her arm in the air almost announcing her arrival and gave a big long "Hi" to everyone in the office. Needless to say we suddenly had the attention of everyone in the waiting room and all the ladies behind the desk. She's funny when it comes to things like that. Sometime she is so outgoing and tries to engage everyone in her sight (totally Jayme) and other times she hangs back and quietly observes not giving you much of a taste of her personality at all (totally me).

I'm so very in love with this little bean of ours. 3 more weeks and she will be 1! So the cliches are true, it really happens so fast.
