Evangeline and I rang in the Christmas season by going to a "mini-Nutcracker" performance. It was perfect for her, as it's geared toward younger children so it's shorter and it was narrated. We went with Jessica and Mira and Laurel and Eisley. It was a wonderful girl's night out, but my heart ached more than it has yet when I looked at my girl all dressed up, hair curled, and growing up. More photos coming soon.
"To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich; to listen to birds, babes, and sages with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common-this is our symphony." - William Henry Channing
