Yesterday Evangeline picked up my phone and sat there with it held to her ear and said "Hawo (hello), yes, mmmhmmm, yes," and proceeded on with her imaginary conversation. I almost melted to the floor with the mixture of adorableness and awe at her becoming a big girl right before my eyes.
She is saying 3-4 word sentences now. Today as we watched Little Bill she laughed and told me how Bobby chased April. "Bobby, 'get you', April."
"I get you" is her favorite game and she asks to play a few times a day. She'll come up to us and say, "I get you too" and wants us to chase her around the house. Coincidentally this is Avonlea's favorite game as well.
Today as we were driving, she started to say "stinky poo poo" a few times. I wasn't paying too much attention until she said, "Mommy, wipe please". I looked back and she had her teddy bear on her lap, lifting his little coat as if she were changing his diaper and so I of course handed her a wipe and she proceeded to wipe the bear's tush. She's such a little mommy.
I think my favorite thing of the moment is watching her imagination unfold. I love how she makes pretend food and sips pretend water and has imaginary conversations on the phone with Papa, Auntie, Eisley, Mauntie, Nana, and Tristan. I love how she carries her baby around and pats the baby's back and feeds her the bottle. I love watching my baby become this little girl.
