Fol-De-Rol and Fiddle-Dee-Dee

I have waited to share this with my Bean for 3 years. Last night (thanks to Wonderful grandparents) Evangeline took her first trip to the Schermerhorn Symphony Hall to see Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella. This production is put on by one of my favorite orphan care ministries, Show Hope and this is the 3rd year of this production. We had so much fun! Evangeline did very well, especially during the first act. She sat on my lap most of the time, she loved exploring the grandness of the Schermerhorn and we thought about how it looked like the Plaza and dreamed of where Eloise would hide if she were there. She says her favorite parts of the performance were the ball and when they got married. Sitting by the fountains before the show started.
One happy girl ready for the show to start.
Cinderella and her fairy godmother who was played by Jodi Benson (the voice of Ariel!!!) I was a little excited about that.
The Royals
Show Hope Families! I basically cried for the entire last 20 minutes of the performance when Steven Curtis Chapman came out and sang his song "Cinderella" and a video of orphans was shown, as well as adoptive families telling their stories. Beautiful.
