We're Back

I have been spending all of my Blogging time these days updating the blog about Jayme's heart surgery and recovery but as things are beginning to settle down I feel able to update our family blog once more. If you want to read and keep up with Jayme's recovery, you can find that blog at www.jaymesheart.blogspot.com.

Ok where to begin after all this time...well Evangeline says "Mama" now! :) That makes me pretty happy. Total music to my ears. She is changing so much and it is so much fun! I have always loved this age. She can climb the big stairs with no help (just a spotter) and she's not really interested in her "mushy" food anymore. If she can't feed it to herself she's not that into it. She gives open mouth kisses and is beginning to blow kisses as well. She does this funny little wave thing and bounces up and down whenever she hears music she likes. You'd have to see it. I'll attempt to post a video. p.s. she has really good taste in music ;)

I'm going to miss this age and the way she puts her hand on my shoulder when I carry her, the funny little language she speaks in when her paci is in her mouth, the adorable 4 little teeth she has and the way she shows off the bottom 2 in her smile. The way she lays her head on the floor and grabs the hair at the back of her head when she starts to get tired, the look of her chubby little thighs as she crawls around in her onesie, the way she looks back at us to see if we're watching when she wants to do something she knows she is not supposed to do. The way she claps when she's proud of her accomplishments, and how excited she gets when she plays with Avonlea. How she enjoys picking up the dog bones and putting them in Avonlea's mouth, and how she loves for you to get down on the floor and crawl with her and chase her. O.K. obviously I could go on and on.

All that to say that I do look forward to the things ahead and watching her grow and change but I cherish this very moment with her so much as well.
