One of the things that she does that makes me laugh is give nicknames to things. I think this is one of those things that I do that I don't realize until I see it in her. For instance, she calls her blankets, "blanks". She has one favorite as of now that she calls her "polka-dot blank". She has also started called Tristan, "Trist", and Eisley, "Eis". Funny kid.
We have given up her paci altogether as of a couple weeks ago and there are many days I wish I could give it back. She has been amazing with the transition emotionally; never a tear or whine or anything. My only complaint is that it is taking her forever most days to settle down enough to take naps or go to bed. Some days she never goes to sleep during her nap time. I am not loving that inconsistency right before the baby is supposed to be born. Ah well, we'll figure it out! :)
She loves Play-Doh and arts and crafts. She really isn't big into coloring with crayons but LOVES painting. She likes to read her books to me now and I'm impressed with how much of them she memorizes. She also loves playing with her dollhouse, and has a new favorite game called Zingo. I'm in love with this game by the way. I actually enjoy playing it with her and she grasped the concept so quickly. I'm on the hunt for good games and crafts for Christmas since we will most likely be spending a lot of time indoors this winter with a new baby and cold weather.
I am so thankful for this beautiful one who makes my every day SO much better. I will try to be better about documenting her little life.
