A Brief Synopsis Of Our Family

Well this first blog is intended to update everyone on life so far. Jayme and I were married October 17, 2004 and this past May 10th (2008) we welcomed the biggest change and greatest joy to our family...Evangeline Mogan Braun. She was 12 days late and weighed 8 lbs. 13 oz. 21" long. I'm still trying to figure out what her hesitation to join life outside the womb was. She shows no signs of being stubborn thus far (one of the few characteristics that is not like her mom, thank God.) 

She is a true joy! Very patient, observant, and aware of life. She has started smiling and laughing and loves to be sung to and to sing along. She will be 4 months old on Wednesday, and like everyone says, it does go by so quickly. It is hard to find the balance between excitement to see the next phase and mourning the loss of the past ones.  So far she looks more like her Papa and acts more like her Mom. she still resembles my baby pictures though-I'll try to post some side-by-sides soon.
