Medical Updates

Jayme went this morning for an MRI so that the surgeon at Vanderbilt could get a clearer and closer look at his heart to determine whether he feels confident that he could repair the valves or whether they would need to be replaced. Pray for a repair if surgery is needed! Needless to say I am not excited about any of this. It looks as though it will be January before any surgery is scheduled. We'll keep you posted when we hear back from Vandy.

As for my brother, Robby, well he has decided to go forth with his surgery as well which would entail the removal of the tumor on his auditory nerve. His will be much sooner. Probably within a couple of weeks-we are also still waiting for a specific date for that. Again, I will keep you posted. The doctors don't want to wait on his surgery for fear that the tumor will grow and put enough pressure on his facial nerve to cause permanent damage. This same effect is a possible outcome of the surgery too so please please pray that everything will go perfectly and no damage will occur!! I am proud of him for making the decision, though once again I detest the thought of surgery. He has been through this before and was not at all excited about the prospect of going through it again. But he prayed, and he feels peace. I will not argue with that!

I added a picture of Evangeline with her Uncle Robby and one of her newest face. My mom calls it "sucking her musu" I honestly have no idea how to spell it but supposedly it is the Italian word for mouth or lips. It must be slang because I could not find it in the Italian/English dictionary. My grandmother probably made it up, crazy Italians ;) I think it helps soothe her teething somehow because they seem to coincide-her gums bothering her and the sucking of her lips. Either way I find it adorable.
