My sweet sensitive baby. We were watching "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" and there is a part where Schroeder is playing the piano and when the music gets sad, Snoopy starts crying. She looked at me as she was getting weepy saying, "Snoopy's sad" and I tried to comfort her, then walked into the other room and the next thing I know she is completely crying out loud. She is definitely compassionate and aware of other's emotions, particularly sadness.
In fact, today we saw a puppet show about the music of Duke Ellington and at the point where they started to play the blues and the music had of course, a sad element to it, she covered her ears. She may be more like me than I thought.

...And this is just us really missing Papa.

Ohhh Genne...
The Charlie Brown episode called "Snoopy, Come Home" was that one for me when I was little...
Snoopy was going to leave his house and go live with a little girl who was sick in the hospital.
I SOBBED that he wasn't coming home...like my own memory of BARELY being able to see the tv screen through my tears. My mom tried to not let me watch it the next year when it was on and I would say to her, "But, I won't cry." And then I'd sob again, of course.
Deeply feeling, empathetic and emotional.
And to think it all begins with Snoopy. :)
I LOVE HER! (and you.)
