The Passage of Time

I had this full circle moment last Saturday when my sisters, Evangeline, and I went to Ri'chards Louisiana Cafe to see my dad play. As I watched Evangeline dance around the table and cheer for her Grampy, I realized that it truly feels like yesterday that it was Rebecca and I doing that. I remember being that little girl. I'm not her anymore...really??

Dad plays there the first Saturday of each month. It's really a great place. I can't hang with the food-- too spicy/greasy for my blood but I enjoy the atmosphere! Quaint, everybody knows your name type of place. Evangeline loves it too. I meant to post a few months back but I was waiting to get pictures from my sister. Yeah, we kept forgetting.

A few months ago the hippies from The Farm community in Springfield performed. Evangeline was enamored. She talked about the hippies the whole way home and for weeks following. Randomly she would ask, "Where'd the hippies go?" and if you asked her "what were the hippies doing?", she would answer "they dancing" as she wiggled along. She shares her Mommy's heart ;)

Getting her hands painted
Her beautiful ladybug
and sparkly flower
and then the face painter let Evangeline paint on her. Ahhh art.
